About the clinic
Edmonton Wart Clinic is a specialty clinic focused on plantar wart treatment. We treat one of the most stubborn skin lesions seen in everyday practice, and we treat it with a structured plan, not a single quick fix.
Plantar warts are caused by HPV. They often grow inward under pressure and can extend deeper than they look. That depth is a big reason many patients do not get results from surface-only treatments.
What We Focus On
Plantar warts can persist for months or years, especially in teens and adults. Many people come to us after trying home products and repeated freezing with little change. That pattern is common.
Our clinic is built for patients who want:
A clear diagnosis
A treatment plan with structure
Realistic expectations
Care that is focused on plantar warts
A Clinical Approach, Not Guesswork
We use a combined protocol that includes medical laser and medical-grade cryotherapy. The goal is to treat the wart more completely and support the body’s immune response over time.
We plan care as a series of visits because plantar warts often need more than one session, especially when they have been present for a long time or are covered by thick callus.
Your First Visit
Your first visit is an assessment first.
nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Confirming the diagnosis
We check whether the lesion is a plantar wart or something else such as a callus or corn.Â
Medical history review
We ask how long it has been there, what you have tried, and whether there are health factors that may affect healing.
Wart assessment
We assess location, depth, skin condition, and thick callus.
Full disclosure
Before treatment begins, you receive a clear explanation of the plan, benefits, and risks. This is provided in writing.
Realistic Expectations
No clinic can promise a set number of sessions or a guaranteed outcome. The technology helps create the right conditions for clearance, but your immune system plays a major role in the final result.
Some warts respond quickly.
Others take longer. Progress is assessed at each visit and the approach is adjusted when needed.
Working With Your Family Doctor
You do not need a referral to book.
In some cases, we may recommend you see your family doctor first, especially if:
- Warts are persistent for a long time
- Warts keep returning
- There are many warts or treatment resistance
Sometimes the immune system needs to be assessed, and your family doctor is best positioned to do that.
If we identify something outside wart treatment during your assessment, we refer you back to your own doctor for follow-up. We support your care, we do not replace it.
Our Team and Support Network
Our clinic team includes clinicians and laser-trained staff focused on plantar wart care. For rare and complex cases, we also have access to dermatologist referrals when advanced management is needed.
Quick Answers
Do I need a referral to come to the clinic?
No. You can book directly by calling the clinic. Some patients also come to us after their family doctor suggests specialist care.
How is this different from freezing at my family doctor?
Many family doctors use cryotherapy as a single treatment. Our clinic uses a structured protocol that combines laser and cryotherapy, planned across multiple visits, with treatment settings adjusted to the patient and the wart response.
What should I expect at my first visit?
A diagnosis check, a medical history review, a full wart assessment, and a clear written explanation of the plan, benefits, and risks before treatment starts.
Can you work with my family doctor?
Yes. If something is outside the scope of wart treatment, you will be directed back to your family doctor for further investigation or referral.
